Right, right. Time for update.
Been reallyyy busy. And will still continue to be during the one week March break.
So. On Monday, we had our Bio Common Test. Nearly 85% of the questions were from the TYS. And I did the TYS. But I forgot the answers. So I went according to instinct. At that moment I was already deciding to drop the subject.
On Tues, Ms Chandran obviously gave us back our papers. 36/50. That made me more annoyed than ever. Should I drop or NOT??
But I already knew, at that point of time Bio was seriously affecting my other subjects, even E.Math. And what would I need PURE Bio for when I enter Poly?
HMMMM.
So on Tues I kinda debated with my Mom, and she finally let me drop. No point letting me continue when I'm unable to cope. She wrote this "3 paragraphs" letter. Marailyn dropped too, and she only had one paragaph. HAHA.
On Wed, it was confirmed. We were having SS in the PAC when Mr Gauis Lee came to look for Marailyn, Hazirah and me. Yeah Hazirah dropped too, but to combined Phy and Bio. YuTing too. HAHA. We looked at the confirmation slip, signed. No turning back now.
When they had Bio again on Thurs, I felt a twinge of pain. Cuz I was not able to walk into the Commerce Room anymore. But Ms Chandran said I was always welcome. I felt that I've left the others behind to suffer, while I escaped free and unscathed. I felt that I've let Ms Chandran down, because she knew I had the potential to score. I felt like I missed Bio already.
But the rest of the Bio people in the Commerce Room was so SWEET. When Ms Chandran came out to get something from the office again, she went like, "Debbie, I think you better go in. They keep saying I threw you out."
I'm like, "WHAT? Oh my God, you people are so sweet!"
LOL.
I was sitting outside the office, so I opened the Commerce Room door and poked my head in and went, "You guys are so SWEET! No lah, Ms Chandran didn't throw me out lah."
HAHAH.
Then Yan Ni totally went like, "Come in lah! Come in and sit lah. Outside so hot! You can do your work here mah!"
Then the rest started to say things like her. At that moment, I felt so THANKFUL.
I LOVE YOU BIO PEOPLE!! ((((((:
So yeah. That's about it. For the Bio drama-thingie.
On Friday the choir NYAA people were scheduled to be at Aloha Changi for a 2D1N camp. So after choir on Fri, we waited for the bus to take us to Changi. It took nearly an hour. It was about 7 by the time we reached there, settled and down got the BBQ fire going.
THANKS TO MR BERNARD SIM WHO CAME ALL THE WAY TO HELP!!! =D (He brought his wife along too). HAHA.
Mr Sim went off at about 8, and left the BBQ committee to work at it. That was Brian, Hazirah, me and 3 other juniors. Then the rest of the people started coming out of the chalet and began to probe us for chicken wings and all. Man, they were so IRRITATING. Couldn't they see the chicken hadn't been cooked thoroughly yet?
So I was yelling at them to sit down, and wait to be served. It didn't help anyway. They just kept coming. It was tough. Realllyyy tough. We were hot and stuffy and sweating all over. The teachers were eating a LOT.
The whole BBQ ended at about 10, but I didn't stay to help them clear up. I seriously needed fresh air and some clean space. So the 7 of us who shared a room upstairs - YanTing, Kelin, Mui Hoon, Ivy, Marailyn, YuPing and me, trooped up to our big big room upstairs. All the rooms were equally big anyway, equipped with a toilet and a bathroom and 3 beds.
We all took a bathe, one by one, and it was 11.35 PM when it was my turn. As each one of us were bathing, we caught up on loads of things. Gossip, rumours and all. The typical things girls do. LOL.
We all finished at about 12.30, and went downstairs again to look for our SUPPER. There was only otah left to be heated up in the microwave oven. It wasn't cooked thoroughly, so EW. I managed to force one down to fill my empty stomach.
Went up to our room again, and found Miss Tong having her karaoke VCDS with her. So we played some songs for a little while until half of us got tired, so we retired back into our rooms, where we finally decided to get some shut-eye.
OH OH! DID I MENTION??? Even though there was a freaking air-con, we weren't allowed to use it. We were supposed to learn how to live through the "harsh conditions" of the night. So okay. Like, "develop ruggedness in pupils"?
There was only ONE FAN for the seven of us. ONE!!
YanTing and I shared one bed at the far corner of the room, the bed which had the furthest distance from the fan. YuPing, Mara and Ivy slept in the middle, and MuiHoon and Kelin slept closest to the door.
It was a mosquito-infested night. The first hour was alright, we managed to get to sleep, just for that hour. Then the mosquito attack began. At about 3am I was furiously scratching at my legs and feet, rubbing my legs against each other, and tossing and turning in my bed. The heat was choking, and I could feel beads of sweat running down my back. Plus the irritating mosquitoes that kept stinging and stinging.
I watched the others. They were doing the same, tossing and turning, scratching at their legs, slapping them. I tried to sleep on my left side, but I just couldn't. Finally, it was Kelin who got tired of it. She walked towards the toilet and snapped the toilet light on. Her loud footsteps on the floor woke us up, and we sat around again, complaining about the "harsh conditions" we were made to go through.
It was funny, but we switched positions in the middle of the night. When Kelin woke us up and we sat around talking again, I was sitting on Ivy's place, which was on the floor. She had borrowed Amanda's camping bag to sleep on. So I ended up sleeping on Ivy's place, which was just a tinie weenie better, with Mui Hoon beside me. I let YanTing sleep alone at our original bed. Kelin and Ivy now shared the bed closest to the door.
I didn't know what time it was when Amanda peeped into our room to wake us up. If not for her, I think we would have slept on and on and on.
So we got up, still tired from battling the mosquitoes, and washed up. Then went down for breakfast.
We found Mr Roland Tan at the breakfast table already, with tons and tons of bread and butter and all. We all sat down and talked, eating bread and butter and milo made by the breakfast committee. Then we had to do some trekking.
Led by the physical activities committee, we walked ALLLLLL the way down from our chalet to the beach to some other chalet houses. Almost at an dead end, we stopped, and rested for 10 minutes. Some of them were crowding around Mr Roland Tan for stories and gossips. Ivy and me sat somewhere close to them, but we weren't really joining in. We just sat, looking out at the sea.
Then later we trekked back, and upon reaching the chalet, we jogged. All was done for our CIP hours.
Finally, we rounded up everything, packed our stuff and assembled outside the chalet once again. We seemed to take 100 group photos before walking to the point where the bus would pick us up. Finally it arrived, and we were sent back to school.
In school, the UG camps were still around, but the school seemed quiet though. The NYAA people were made to stay back and complete one more hour of gardening under Mr Roland Tan. I watered plants all the way. It was about 1 or 2 plus when we were all finally done, and my Dad came to pick me.
YUPP. So thats about my weekend. It's a long post to make up for a week's posting.
Last night I slept early though, at 9.30PM. Woke up at 11 this morning.
So yeah.
Even though its the March holidays now, we've been given loads of homework. Plus we have to go back to school almost everyday for extra lessons.
Oh well. Thats the way a Sec 4 life should be.
PEOPLE, KEEP STRIVING ON!!!
=)
